FileHold Systems Announces: WebCap

June 10, 2013 - Paperless Document Review and Approval from Anywhere There is Access to the internet. FileHold Systems Inc. http://www.filehold.com the manufacturer of feature rich and affordable document management software, sold all over the world, announces the availability WebCap a web-based scanning feature that allows remote users to scan documents via a web browser without the need to have desktop scanning software installed

Burnaby, BC (PRWEB) June 10, 2013

Remote users can scan and store documents into the document management repository from anywhere they have access to the internet and a TWAIN supported scanner. WebCap, used in conjunction with bar code technology, allows automated metadata capture and auto initiation of workflow for scanned documents.

Larry Oliver, President said “This feature was added to FileHold at the direct request of a global customer who wanted to get rid of mountains of paperwork and automate purchase agreement approvals with electronic processes. The client has 350 remote offices each of which sign new sales contracts every day. All of this contract paperwork will now be processed electronically shortening the turnaround of review and approval. WebCap is a must have for organizations that have many remote offices or many mobile workers who need to scan documents such as contracts, bills of sale, expenses, or work estimates into a document management system. WebCap is especially powerful for companies who want these documents to go into a workflow to automate review and approval processes after they have been scanned.”

Russ Beinder Manager of Professional services at FileHold who managed the implementation said about the technology: “WebCap scanning is done via a browser based client. The quality of the scan and compression of the final document that is uploaded to the secure FileHold document repository or saved to the local computer can be controlled in WebCap settings. The image viewer allows pages to be previewed, added, reordered, removed, zoomed, de-skewed, rotated, compressed, loaded from and saved to the local disk. Documents can be stored in FileHold in TIFF or PDF format. Documents in the Scanner Inbox are saved to the FileHold document management server until they are removed. This allows users to log off and come back to the images later without losing them.”
